INTERMISSION #8
Image description: Bonus palette. Baptismal Font stares at a hurricane lantern on a table. They think 'Oh dear. It has been quite a while since I've gone looking for VCR, hasn't it. I suppose it's futile at this point; but I can't help but wonder what became of her.' Baptismal Font wanders in the woods, and calls out, 'VCR? VCR...? Are you there? Shoot, xe isn't my husband. Do they go by a different name now? Maybe I should switch it up. Little friend...? Little friend, where have you gone?' They stop and stare at a tree root. Baptismal Font says 'This is normally where I'd stop and go home. Should I go farther tonight? Perhaps that is why I haven't found them yet. I hope that they are alright. I miss them. Even though I had not known at the time who I was missing.' Baptismal Font lays down on a set of train tracks. They say 'I'm too tired to go back. I suppose a little rest couldn't hurt. Goodnight VCR, or to whoever you are now.' A train gradually approaches in the distance. It grabs Baptismal Font and hoists them up off the ground. Baptismal Font looks shocked. The train says in the Go Baaa Handwriting font 'Why the FUCK are you on the track.' End description.
Image description: 'Bonus palette: The train looks aggrivated and says 'Ohhhh my god why were you lying in the middle of the TRACK at THREE IN THE GODDAMN MORNING. Do you HAVE a death wish or something? I could have run you over, and then I could have run you over again, and then I could have run you over a THIRD time- Wait. Why are you looking at me like that.' Baptismal Font looks up at her and blushes, saying 'I'm sorry, it's just- It's been so long since I've seen another person; And I've never met anyone taller than me before. All of my friends were so much shorter then me.' They cough, before continuing; 'It's- nevermind. Have you seen my friend anywhere? They went missing a while back, about a year ago.' The train looks away while thinking, and says 'Uhhh, hold on. Give me a second. I think I got it. Small, grey thing? Wet looking eyes?' Baptismal Font says 'That's the one.' The train continues 'That little freak snuck on me a while ago. I was on my way up to Portland. Poor thing was scared senseless. Didn't even talk to me once. I could've used a friend.' Baptismal Font says 'Portland? Where's that?' The train says '2,500 miles away.' Baptismal Font says 'Pardon?' The train says 'Other side of the continent.' Baptismal Font says 'Oh.' After a moment, they grab their face and realize; 'VCR's in Portland?' The train responds 'Well, I mean- I dunno where your friend got off at. Could've been Portland. It's really hazy. Could've been anywhere.' Baptismal Font holds the trains face and stares at her. They ask 'Can you take me there? I need to find my friend.' The train looks confused, and says '?? Are you always this handsy with strangers?' Baptismal Font says 'Please?' The train says 'Okay, okay- calm down; I'll take you. I mean I was going up there anyways but geez- I'll take you there on two conditions: You help me switch over some of the track levers so I can finally go somewhere other than damn Oregon. Seriously. It's way too cold up there. And;' The train stares down at Baptismal Font firmly. She says 'You're going to learn how to shoot.' Baptismal Font looks concerned, and says '... A gun?' The train says 'Yeah.' Baptismal Font says 'Isn't that a bit crass?' The train says 'Relax, it's just a revolver.' Baptismal Font says 'I'm a pastor.' The train says 'There's way too many predators up there. What else would you even do. Convert the bear to Catholicism?' Baptismal Font says 'I'm Protestant.' The train says 'Whatever. Do you want to go or not?' Baptismal Font says 'I don't even know how to hold one. VCR never let me touch his.' The train says 'Don't worry, I'll teach you.' Baptismal Font stands on the track, looking conflicted. They say 'I... This is the only way I can find my friend, right?' ... When would we leave?' The train says 'How does two days from now sound?' Baptismal Font says 'Okay.' End description.
