VCR ELECTRIC REMAINS

I know you give us art challenges all of the time; I figured maybe we could do it together?' Task looks concerned, and says 'VCR, I don't need pens to make art. It is a parody of the live slug reaction meme. VCR's whole body contorts into a frown, and she says '<em>Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease-</em> Task says '<em>Okay</em>, okay.' VCR and Task are now lying on the ground, drawing on paper. VCR asks 'What are you drawing?' Task responds 'I'm making something for someone. What about you?' On Task's paper there is a small thumbnail of Polybius. VCR says 'Tobacco. It smells nice.' VCR looks away, and grabs at xyr chassis. Xe says 'Gosh- oh no, I'm not there to help my first best friend with the tobacco this year.' Task leans over next to VCR and says '... Do you ever miss it?' VCR says 'Miss what?' Task says 'Your home?' VCR says 'A lot. I wish I could go home. I didn't want to leave, but I had to. But the mall is my home now. You're here.' Task says '... That's awfully sweet, VCR.' He looks away, and says 'VCR, can I ask you something?' VCR says 'Of course!!' Task says 'Do you think we'd still be friends if we hadn't met like this?' VCR looks away and says 'I don't know where I'd be if I wasn't here; but I'd like to think if I lived a different life, then all of my friends would still be in it.' Task says 'I'm- I'm sorry, VCR. Maybe if you'd come here a little earlier, or gotten here a lot later, then things could have been different. I don't know. Maybe I would have turned you away, and you'd be living your life off with someone else. Or maybe I could have taken a chance on you. I don't know. I'm sorry.' Task hugs VCR close to hir chest. VCR says 'I don't know why you're apologizing, I love being here. But I'm sorry for avoiding you. I thought you were mad at me for calling you by <em>their</em> name. I didn't think you wanted to see me. ATM talked some sense into me.' VCR hugs Task back. Task says 'It was an accident. I was never mad at you.' VCR says 'I'm still sorry.' Task says 'Then let me forgive you. After all, at least it wasn't <em>intentional</em>. End description.
