CHALLENGE #6: Bits and Pieces/Sparrow in the Mead Hall
CHALLENGE: Arts and Crafts
Another game!! This was a collaboration between my girlfriend Arthur, who owns Phyllis (F.H.), and I. I believe that there is only a Windows distro, sorry Mac users!! If there is enough of a demand, I can recompile it for Mac. Playthrough is below for those who would rather watch. :)
BONUS:
Image description: Bonus content palette. The words 'I'm so used to caring for others' in VCR's font beside multiple images of them with Baptismal Font. The first has them leading Baptismal Font away from bed. The second one has VCR holding a pot of soup. The third has them holding up a rag to Baptismal Font, who is sitting down. The fourth is them holding Baptismal Font's face as Baptismal Font cries. Further down, there is the text 'it's nice being the one cared for.' Beside it, there are three images with Task and VCR. The first is Task curling around VCR. The second is VCR pointing at a card in a game of solitaire. The third is Task picking up VCR hamburger-style. Between the two parts, error messages are interwoven, saying 'Yeah, my kids still live up north. At least the last time I checked, the both of them still do.' 'You've still got kids up in Portland, Gramophone? What're you doing down here?' 'Grandkids too! I miss them dearly, but I just can't make the trip back up north.' 'What were they like?' 'Well, Arithmometer's real bright- one of those extroverted kids, y'know?' 'Can't say the same for Microcomputer. She was always shy. Rather poke at bugs all day than play with other kids.' 'Can't say the same for Microcomputer. She was always shy. Rather poke at bugs all day than play with other kids.' 'Don't tell Arithmometer, but Microcomputer was always a little more fun. When she was 13 or so she really got into some of the local legends.' 'It was real fun, taking her around town to some of the stranger places to poke for clues. She loved it.' 'One of her favorite places was that old mall up there. We never went in, but she loved walking to go see it. I miss her.' 'That's really sweet, Gramophone. Baptismal Font, how do you feel about kids?' ' I wanted them, but VCR didn't. I didn't mind giving that up.' Further down, it shows the characters in the error messages sitting around each other. Winston is sitting to the left next to Telegraph, who has an arm up on Control Panel. Baptismal Font is sitting next to Control Panel. Telegraph says 'Hey Control Panel, how do you feel about it?' After getting a head shake, they respond again 'Yeah, you didn't seem like the type.' Telegraph pauses, before continuing: 'Heeeeeeeeeey, Winston. My man. What about you?' Winston says 'Ignoring your tone, I did. Kind of. I had a little sister named F.H. ... I miss him a lot.' End description.
